The iPhone 5 release date is coming quickly. One of the new iPhone features is supposed to be AirPlay Direct, which could help makeup for the lack of NFC. According to an August 29 report from ABC 15, AirPlay Direct would allow apple's newest smartphone to stream audio without a Wi-Fi connection. The chip uses Bluetooth technology.
The introduction of this new AirPlay Direct may make the iPhone 5 more attractive in overseas markets like China. Will it help with U.S. buyers though? Is this a feature you are interested in having in the next generation iPhone?
In the U.S., the expected iPhone 5 release date is September 21, which is weeks away at this point. Of course, most people want to know how much money to save up for the new phone. The iPhone 4S cost 199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB. Now, some of the rumors think that Apple may raise the price as much as $50 per model. Would you be willing to pay that much extra?
